Squishy Mouse
An Exercise in Computational Design.
Lattice Design
Squishy Mouse is the result of my desire to learn generative lattice design in Grasshopper.
Computational what?
Grasshopper is a CAD based visual programming language that allows for complex computational design based on parameters. As seen in the image (right), the interface is a collection of interrelated nodes with various relationships to one another.
No Smoke and Mirrors Here.
Macro renders were valuable in the visualization of this project in order to demonstrate the integrity of the concept’s technical execution. No fancy image editing tricks here.
This is a robust, parametrically editable generative lattice. This enables rapid iteration on pattern structure, fade, beam thickness, etc.
